Extending google maps
Per ZDNet's post on Fun with Mashups :Lots of people are finding applications for google maps with mashups with other data sources.
A really cool site with many other links is Google Maps Mania
So there are many applications possible. How about listing all the meditation centres in the world? Or maybe just the retreat places and the main centres and giving all the details within that. That's a good feature for a new website... in the "contact us" or "how to reach us" information section.
Now how to go about doing all this? There is a post just for that at Endgadget. Ah technology...
